Dear Mayor Brodie, Under section 131 of the Community Charter, I respectfully ask you, if the statutory time limit remains open, to require Council to reconsider and vote again on Resolution R26/14-10. The published minutes do not show what complete source materials or translations Council reviewed, whether the person referred to was invited to respond, or what process was intended by the direction concerning the BC Human Rights Tribunal. I ask that these questions be clarified before Council decides whether to confirm, amend, or reject the resolution on reconsideration. This request does not defend discriminatory expression. It asks Council to address the issue on a complete and transparent record. Thank you.
